Is 12's in my future?

I have a 96 A4 z28 stock 3.23's, with mac mids, ory, loudmouth, moroso cold air, trick flow elbow, lt4 km. With that it got me the best of 13.5 at 102mph.
Now i have 3.73's, lca's, subframes, tuned, 2800 Midwest stall, transgo shift kit and nittos 555. Do you think i could pull high 12 like a 12.8 or something or is that just wishfull thinking? I mean it pulls ALOT harder then it use to. Thanks for your thoughts!

I would say if they are 555 R`s you can hit 12`s but if they are just the 555`s I would say no caust with just boltons its damn hard to hit 12`s with a normal street radial

If they're the DR's I think you MAY break 12's like he said. As long as you know how to drive and can launch without breaking loose I think its a definite possibility but it'll be awful close. Im guessing about a 13.1 though. Maybe on a nice cold night with perfect prep at the track and perfect run you may break into 12's.

drag radials are not very consistant but they can be very good if you roast the hell out of them and there is good track prep.
If it was me I would buy a cheap pair of rims ans a set of et streets(I buy the blems they are very cheap)
when the humidity is very high and my car only traps 104 I still run 12.80`s so yes I say with a street legal slick you should run 12`s.

Drag radials are fine with a 2800 stall.. Nittos arn't the best but bfg's and et drag radials should be just fine.

If you're gonna go much bigger on the stall or spray it then you might wanna look at ET Streets.

And you should easily be in the 12's with those mods.

But you will need better than a 1.93 60ft to get you there
and btw I roast dr`s with my slow setup so they kinda suck.
get the et streets

The 1.93 was on bfg kdws(dry/went/snow) tires btw

What dr's are you using?

And btw all i was saying was that et streets arn't needed. They're more expensive and will break things a whole lot quicker than the drag radials would.

I am using et streets and no they will not break things easy on a near stock auto.
they are also cheaper than dr`s
I have been racing my car for 8 years now and only broke the pinion once.
How can you comment on something you have never used and oviously know nothing about

I was talking about posi and I do know what I'm talking about. Stop trying to flex your e-muscles.

I'm just trying to give him the other side of things and to know the good and bad side to things.

So how do you know I've never run on ET streets?

Point is, if you've got a week point in your drive train, ET Streets will find it.

Re: Is 12's in my future?

back on topic, yes with your new setup your car should be in the 12's if the air, altitude and track prep are good...

I run Nitto's and I agree with a couple of the posts above, they don't hold up too well unless the track is well preped and you cook them real well before you stage...

Remember though, I run at a track that is close to sea level and sometimes the DA gets below sea level... But with 2.73 gears I am close to knocking on the 12's, even though I can't get better then a 1.834 60' that I got on that run in my sig.
