Yea, it eventually comes to that for us all. I'm hoping to push the bolt on as much as I can before then....but, you just never know.

Yea, I've got a CC305 cam sittin' in the garage, but I've decided to delay that thing and just do the rest of the valve train (new springs, lifters and RRs). I have a personal vendetta to settle and once that's taken care of, I'll toss the 305 in there...or maybe sell it and get something else?

Hey Ken, is thiere still tuning that needs to be done with that car? You switch from the hotcam to the 230/236 111 with ported heads and only droped .11 tenths of a sec. Something doesnt sound right. Or did you do that 11.80 with hotcam and ported heads? I guess you might pickup some if you swap for a little more gear. Is that what is holding you back?

The 11.80 was done in very good DA (No Problem Raceway) plus at a track that hooks. (I was cutting mid to low 1.5's all day long)
Typically the car would do 12.0's to 12.1's at my home track with the 60's in the mid to low 1.6's.
To give some some comparison's I'm running 11.70's in very crappy DA's and 60's in the 1.6's so when it's time to go back to (NPR) in November I should be in the mid to low 11's. The car has gaind at least .4 tenths since the cam / head swap.
The 11.80 was done with a LT4HotCam and Un-Touched Heads and with really good weather.

Re: Get rid of the cc 305 ????
You're right, I'll probably keep it and install it JUST after I accomplish the task at hand. There's a lil' talk goin on behind my back, so I'm gonna beat my friend's cammed LT1 in my car without a cam; then, I'll install the cc305 for insurance,

Hey Ken
So you are saying that the 3.42's worked better with the hotcam setup as opposed to say 3.73's.....With me having cc305 it would be close to what you had with the hot cam....what made the most difference in your et's with the hot cam?????

Ken and Frank!!!
How do you guys launch with the stalls??? Do you flash them or do you all stall them up???? I have seen your videos ken and its hard to tell whether you stall up or just flash....

Canton racer I run Mickey Thompson dot skinnies on my car daily and usually run Hossier QTP for my Sunday rides and to work. I only work a couple of miles from home. If I'm going on a long trip I put my street radial rear tires. I never said that is was easy to run 11's with stockheads just that I do it. My car and I are now 90#'s lighter than when I ran 11.42. Car lost 50#s and I lost 40#s. I think with good weather and a few tricks that I can now run 11.20's want to bet? Frank95z

Frank - Dang boy, you losing 40# yourself, you are going to dry up next to nothing. I need to loose 40# myselfl.
As for me launching, I stall it up to about 2300 and let em rip.
Here is a video of Franks pass I took of him at NPR in November of last year.
