Sar2k ran 11.94 with stockheads and stock cam na. I've run 11.42 116 with stockheads(never been off car)and cam na. Now just about every time I post I hear about stock eliminator cars running faster with stockheads. Most do not have stock heads really and none can drive to the grocery store if you know what i mean. My car is a street driven, dot tire, that can be driven anywhere. Frank95z

Yes, Brian (ProjectZ) went 11.91 with a CC305 and stock heads. I was at Atco to see him do it. The 11.91 is impressive, but so is seeing a car with a stock bottom end and heads hang a front salad shooter 6" in the air...LOL

You certainly don't need a cam to hit 12s, or any internal engine mods... case in point since he hasn't piped up already

I recently found out from the previous owner of my car the the heads on it were not ported , just duunked to clean them up and then new seals but, My car has run a best of 12.58 with cc 305 w/ stock stall so 11 are very doable......Here is a pic of what it does...right now without the stall on DR's
94 TA

Hey Frank
What did you do to over come the OBD1 High stall issues in your car...That is the main reason I have yet to install the stall....

I converted my car to OBD2. The shifting tables are much better with the OBD2 setup. The problem that I've found is that this fix doesn't always work on 1994 models. I've run a computer in my car and it shifts perfectly but we put the same computer in a 94 car and still has shifting issues. Frank95z

Ive hit 12's with just your basic bolt-ons, with some bolt ons left to go. I too will be looking for 11's while still keeping the stock heads. I have my race weight down to 3595 LBS right now, but Im in the process of looking to lower it to 3495. Over this summer I will be adding an XE 224/230 112 LSA cam and looking for the low 12's. Then its time to fine tune and add some other bolt-ons and see that 11.99 baby!

By the way, I converted to the OBD1 while using LT1 Edit. Do you have a better time using the OBD2 tables? I have started to have shifting issues at times with my 2800 Stall.

Streetable, stock headed cars, no skinnies, no slicks, very little weight reduction running 11's....hmmmm.

Why buy strokers, why port heads, why put a cam in, why buy n2o when is not very hard to run 11's on stock heads and stock cam?

The most often over-looked and under-worked mod available...the driver.

Got a buddy in the same boat with you; a best of 12.34; won GMHTP with a 12.42 with just RRs, Shortys, basic bolt-ons and exhaust. Dieted car in an M6.

A mislabled Compucar jet has now forced him to rebuild, so he's leaving the bolt-on stock heads/cam division.

You guys are failing to realize how much work it took Sar2K to run that 11.94, weather played a lot in to it. His car is rather impresive but still it wasn't easy. Frank's car is awesome, I have much respect for it.

Yea, it eventually comes to that for us all. I'm hoping to push the bolt on as much as I can before then....but, you just never know.
