On the otherhand, I will try a different calculator..
update: I think I figured out what I was doing wrong. I was entering 48.2 for ABDC, but I think thats at .50 I think I need to use "77" like Bret suggested earlier, but how do you get that number?

deenasty, youre in the same boat Im in. I bet I have roughly the same 383 setup you do. I use 16cc dish SRPs as well. my cam is a 242/248. my dcr comes in at 7.5:1. I can't do anything to change it cause I don't have the cash so it goes together as is
I do however have the mr gasket head gaskets that are .026 so that helps a small amount.
I will however keep this all in mind for my next project
