How Many People In Here Have Used Or Use Et Streets On A M6 With A Stock 10 Bolt, And Have Not Broken Yet.

when I asked this I got a few responses such as "I have used ET Streets and a stock rear end and got into the low 11's high 10's on stock rear end with many passes!"

So this is my personal conclusion:
#1 if something bad happens everyone and their brother will know.
#2 if something good happens no one cares.
#3 not all stock rear ends are created equal. I trashed an auburn 3.73 on my LT1 with street tires on the toll way! (was showing dad how I can lauch my auto!)
#4 run it, if it breaks, ya wanted to upgrade anyways!

That being said, I own ET Streets, BFG DR's and Nittos.. My clutch currently with its 46K miles will not hold the power needed to break my rear end. At the track I can barely break the tires loose at the burnout box. But its good enough for low 13's so until I decide to change out my clutch, my rear is safe from my desire to get 1.6 short times.. heh

 

ET streets and a crappy clutch might make your 10 bolt last awhile, all though I doubt it. Decent clutch plus ET streets, (and this is what you want to go fast) kiss your 10 bolt good by. It may take a (short) while, but it is a proven fact.

 

I trashed mine on street tires.... 12bolt sitting under it now

 

I bet all those guys are A4's. 10 bolts with A4's can have traction and last. 10 bolts with M6 that have traction=broken rear end.

i have a stock rear end, spec stage 3 clutch, launched 3500-4500 rpms on et streets 4 times, and it did fine.

I made over 100 passes on the 3.73s in my '97's 10-bolt launching at 4-5k (although only cutting low 1.8s) on ET streets and the rear was still together (albeit a bit noisy :P) when I sold the car.

It's a crap shoot. Some are luckier than others.
