I have just put the SLP ceramic coated on my car and it's going to the muffler shop tomorow to get the flanges welded on. I've have the cat and a cutout welded up the same length with flanges so I can bolt my cat in for smog or swap the cutout in for raceday (at least). I went with the SLP's because I wanted the best I could get WITH a CARB EO.

!The only complaint I have is that the passenger side EGR port is off enough from the stock position that you have to bend the hell out of the tube to get it to line up, but it can be done. I plan on contacting SLP tomorow about my disatisfaction with that one issue. Can't wait to drive it though cause they look great!

I also replaced my wasted motor mounts with ES mounts, changed the starter, the radiator, trans and rear fluids (synth) and installed a rear end support cover and NGK TR55 IX plugs. I'm expecting a little improvement My mounts were so bad the engine was resting on the frame so I'm sure it will feel smoother!

I recomend being prepared for mounts and plugs while your in there and one thing I will also be doing soon is Over The Cover Taylor Wire Kit, I know my 6 month old MSD wires aren't going to last with how close they are to the exhaust!

I bought the "Instalation Kit" but it's just gaskets, bolts and 2 fire sleeves. I bought Stage 8 bolts and Copper Gaskets so it was mostly a waste of money.

I bought the SLP headers used on here for $335 two years ago. I love these things!! Instantly woke the car up, and from my experience, are not holding me back compared to what I would have if I went longtubes. Mine are not coated, no problems without it.

Don't buy the installation kit. I went to autozone and bought a header bolt set for $3.99. Guess what, no bolts have backed out. I've said it before, but I think people that spend big bucks on heavy duty locking bolts are throwing away money. I bought some fel pro gaskets from autozone, or you can get them at summit. I coated mine with a little orange high temp RTV on each side to prevent them "blowing out".

I say get the SLPs and don't worry about what else is out there, because for what you have on your car it will be just fine.

I bought the Dual-Cats and had them ceramic coated by a local outfit. Cost about the same but believe the coating is superior.

Bought the flange gaskets from SLP because the pass side is different. For the headers themselves, I used Fel Pros (they are one piece whereas the SLPs are separate gaskets).

Bought my own bolts, ARP 1" 12 pt SS. and the flange bolts and fire sleeves.

Had to re orient and reweld EGR on Pass Side for fitment. Pi$$ed me off becuase it messed up my nice ceramic job in that area.

Burned heater hose caused me to replace the rubber part of the hose with metal flex hose. Still insulated with fire sleeve and tied back with zip ties just to make sure it didn't get burned again. This however, was a real PIA, so just make sure your hoses and wires are not touching the headers. Other than that, I'm satisfied, for the time being.
