Exclamation Hose going from Throttle body to valve cover broke

The hose going from the throttle body to the passenger side valve cover broke. What does this hose do and is it really important. Right now i have it clamped off and taped up.

Get a new hose. That hose, along with the PCV, provides ventilation for the crankcase. You'd be better off taking the hose off all together than to clamp it off...

A length of 1/2" hose and 2 90 degree plastic elbows will replace it fine..

I just took the hose into the parts store. They didn't have the right stuff, so I bought heater hose that was the right size. It was a tight fit on the elbow that comes out of the valve cover. I bought like two feet, and then cut it down to fit. No need for elbows or anything. It cost like $5 or something for the hose.
