My car will not start right now but I'm getting spark at the plugs.
I only checked one wire though.

If my opti is bad will I still get spark at the plugs?
If it will spark, then will the bad opti make my car not start at all because of the timing? Maybe the optical part is messed up?

Car's not running trying to figure out why.

Don't forget to check to see if you have any fuel pressure.

 

If the fuel pressure is good and you've got spark. The timming chain may have jumped time. How old is it?

 

It's a 96.
How do I check to see if the chain have jumped time?
Is there a way to check to see if the opti is bad without having to remove the water pump and the opti?
