Window problems

Does anyone elses windows suck? I have an 01 SS and the windows love to take their time and make lots of sqeeking noise as they go up and down. I was talking with a buddy of mine who had an 89, and he said that his did the same thing. I was just wondering if my windows are shot, or GM just hasn't mastered the art of electric windows yet. Keep in mind that it is an 01, and both windows act the same, slow and noisy. Kind of ironic that both suck and its only 2 years old.

Lightbulb Yep, they are pretty crappy.

My '99 has sufered from a slow passenger side since I bought it in '01 - that's one reason I purchased an aftermarket ext. warranty.

So far, they have won as I have not spent any of their money !

At any rate, Shoebox's incredible site has some pointers should you need to/choose to do this yourself down the road.

For specifics, see : http://csce.uark.edu/~jgbertr/rb/alt...ndowmotor.html

Don't just visit there, though - there is so much more to see !

Check it out:
