Why install an aftermarket maf sensor

Why install an aftermarket maf sensor

What would an slp maf sensor do that a factory one couldnt? Why would someone want to install one of these

To lighten their wallet. A factory MAF can support a lot of HP.

I've used factory MAFs on all my builds. If it can support a 650fwhp 408ci stroker motor, it can support pretty much anything else.

The guy that had the car before me put it on there, and according to slp, it provides more air straightens the flow better than the factory one, on top of supporting more power. Im kinda wondering if its causing my p0507 code, since ive pretty much eliminated everything but a computer problem.

Possibly. Try a stock one from someone local.
