What's the problem...

I started my SS this morning and noticed a puff of blue smoke go by the window. Thats all it was, it didn't stay smoking. It was just from the initial start. I use regular oil and the car does have piston slap but it goes away after it warms up. It doesn't use any oil in between changes and I just had it changed a week ago. I don't beat/race the car. Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

I see you are in NY, it's cold right now, correct. Maybe it was starting rich b/c of the cold and you thought it was blue smoke. Just a thought.

very possible, the PCM runs in open-loop when the car is cold, producing an intentional rich condition. it was probably just black smoke.

if you're not using any oil, i wouldn't worry too much.

I tried it again tonight and it didn't look blue. Yesterday it was rainy, cold, and foggy out. Tonight just the typical white smoke came out. I feel relieved but i'll keep and eye on her anyway. Thanks guys!!
