Questions about AIR PUMP
Problem... My pump has a wire coming from the connection that is on the pump and runs up to some other device. Yours does not. Another words, I have a wire that runs from both sides of the connection that is on the pump. One can be disconnected, (like yours) and then there is another coming from the other end that cannot be disconnected. Dont know if this is what Chevrolet did when they recalled the pump and yours didnt get done or what. If you remember there is like a red wire, orange wire and a black wire going into your pump. Mine has all three wires but the black and the red wire go to another connection on another device. Hard to explain....
my question is, my old air pump should still work for him? correct? cant he just plug it in, was that what they did for the recall? is there a way to adapt them? any and all advice would help us out.
Thank you
PS: this isnt for my car, I have ! air, I sold my air pump to a member of the board and that upper quote was from his email. I'm lost, and I'd like for him to be able to use the pump without having to send it back etc. is there any way to have it work?

Your original post looks like it was intended to be a response to someone else's.... you are talking about someone's AIR pump being different than your AIR pump, and will your old AIR pump work for "him". Who are you talking to when you says "yours does not"? What is the year of the other car? I don't think anyone understands what the question is, or what it relates to other than two different AIR pumps????
All I know is that they added some things with the recall. I thought the connections to the pump, itself, were the same.
Your original post was very confusing, even though you said you were quoting someone else (but there were no "quotes"
). Perhaps you got no reponses because people could not figure out what you were trying to say.

Sorry about that, I copied that from the email I recieved... So does anyone know what the extra stuff they added was for? and would my pump just plug in and work without that extra stuff ?
