Whats with our horns???

Hey guys,
I'm just curious why our horns sound like a school bus? It sounds like it belongs on a Mazda or something. What can I do to make it more muscular and "Get the heck outta my way" like on my previous '89 Camaro?

Go to a junk yard and grab one off an 89, shouldnt be to hard to find if thats the sound you want.

Umm, our horns sound a hella lot better then most Japanese cars. They're horns are all high-pitched dinky things.

You're supposed to use your gas pedal to get someone's attention, not your horn, you drive a Camaro.

Our horns do sound wimpy though.

Are you sure that the low note on your horn isn't out. The horn has a low and a high note. It is in a ****ty spot and it can get wet making the low note go out. When it rains really hard sometimes my low note won't work for a couple days. It sounds like a normal car when both notes are working.

I agree.. I rarely ever honk my horn.. but I do push in my clutch and rev my engine.. most people react to that pretty well. hehe

Thanks for all the replies!
Are you sure that the LS1 years are supposed to have a dual-tone horn? I know the ones before it did, but is something wrong with my horn? Or does it suck the way it was meant to?
And I actually DO want to put an air horn on it one day, hee hee.
