What exhust to get?

Well everyone the local police have decided my car is too loud. I have a 98Z LT'S with the 3"Y. Right now im running a dynomax bullit style. What is a good system to go with that is loud as hell under WOT but kinda mellow under normal driving. I have been to LS1sounds.com but i would like to hear some testimonials.

holla

True Duals! If you leave in the cats in (high flow of course), it will be more mellow at idle. Look at the setup in my sig. its quiet at idle, but absolutely ROARS at WOT.

I have a flowmaster on my car and it is pretty quiet at idle and lower rpms, but gets loud at wot. The only downside is it supposedly robs some power when compared to others. I have also heard the magnaflow and hooker are a couple of good setups to go with, but with LT's and a 3" ory anything will be loud.

Too bad I could get duals for less than a borla catback and not have the restriction of the stock Y-pipe still.

Back on topic.

SLP dual/dual sounds very nice w/headers and you can get them used w/low miles dirt cheap. Could just get an oval magnaflow in place of the bullit. They have one that is pretty skinny.

If you're set on getting a new catback: mufflex. 3.5" or 4". Mine sounds relatively tame just cruising around, but get on it and the big pipe is loud, and thats w/out headers.

IMO... True Dual's are not needed on an F-Body.

Ok.. Guys who have true dual's.. Give me your reasons why you got them.

Sound. I know that a y-pipe can make the same power, but an x-pipe or h-pipe setup has a distinctive sound (which is really cool). Also when you look under the car, you can say that you did something different than everyone else. I love the sound of true duals.
