As far as the problem earlier, ALL LS1/LS6s have 6-bolt mains...Corvette LT1s and all LT4s have 4-bolt mains...F-Body LT1s have 2-bolt mains...If an engine rebuild is in the works I would imagine having your 2-bolt LT1 splayed to a 4-Bolt isn't that much more expensive for a little extra security...Although I'm not 100% sure on that point...

people don't seem to realize iron is stronger than aluminum ... hmm i wonder why an aluminum block requires 6 bolt mains when the iron block got away with 2 bolt

no matter, now both engines are out-dated, yesturdays news. the new assembled in heaven's assembly line engine will be the LS2 (or ls7 for those rich-*** bastards out there)
