Cool Transgo + Hypertech

I just had a transgo shiftkit installed in my 2000 Z28. I had a Hypertech program also with the maximum shift firmness setting as well so as I was driving home from the trans shop the shift hardness was really hard. Not that its a bad thing but does the transmission care if it is augmented in the valve body and the computer (Via Hypertech) at the same time?

Exclamation

the manual for mine said not to bump up the firmness if you have a shift kit. i think thats why it asks you if you have one so you wont

One or the other ... not both.

The Hypertech programmer (the new ones anyway) ask if you have installed an aftermarket shift kit. If you answer yes, then you do not get the option to adjust shift firmness.

Right now ... go outside and reprogram the car with no Hypertech shift firmness. Otherwise, you're asking for trouble.

(please tell me you're not running 3 washers plus 100% firmness from Hypertech)

Can you say "powershifting"?! Wow! That would be harsh!

Wink

Yea I changed the Hypertech setting to stock trans shift performance. The shift firmness was pretty cool though with both. The 2-3 shift was the lackluster on the1/4 mile so hopefully thr transgo kit fixed that.
