Arrow Thermostat

My dad has a 2000 SS Camaro and his waterpump went up so he got a new waterpump and he wants to get a new thermostat, he just a ordered a 160 thermo and we were wondering would we have to get anything tuned because of that and does anyone know the degree for the stock thermo, I would really appreciate your help, thanks Josh

If he got the new style pump (probably did) it should've come with a thermostat (180/185?), the old style one piece 160/180 thermostat won't fit. Not sure on the 2k but my owners manual lists mine as a 180 stock, it was stamped 86*C inside. No tuning required whichever is used, the gauge isn't accurate and will read the same.

You can either get a tune to have your stock fan start at a lower temperature, or you can buy an SLP manual fan swicth and just control it yourself.
