tach output for shift light?
ok guys ...having a bit of trouble installing my proform shift light
i thought i read tthat the tach output was red connector on ecm, pin 10, white wire. well i've tried this and it's not working
so i do anohter search and i get this thread saying blue connector, pin 35.
what is the correct wire to spice into?
i already have the wire run up through the firewall to the ECM so i don't want to mess with pulling the bottom of the dash apart...so i'm gonna connect it at the ecm so don't bother telling me which wires under the steering wheel or whaterver...
and also in that tread someone mentions needing to cut one of the wires on the shift light as if it were a 4 cylinder due to the strange ignition of the LS1...
is this true???

Red connector #10 pin (white) is the one I used. Iam using the autometer shift light.....I had the same problem when I hooked mine up. The problem was the connector I was using to connect the shift light wire and #10 wire together. The #10 wire is small and I didn't have a good connection!
Good Luck

i read some stuff on LS1tech.com about the same problem having to put the light into 4cyl mode.
i have a PROFORM shift light...there are two wires that are for 6 or 4 cyl mode...which do i cut ...or both?
