I was reading about the suncoast intake that you can get for their hoods, and I wanted to know if it could be used with the factory SS hood, and also if it really is that good of an intake...or would i be better off getting a whisper lid? I really do not know anything about it, but i do know the whisper lid does improve performance a little...any advice or knowledge would be great, thanks.

 

Suncoast has a different hood setup and intake as well. The original factory WS6 hood is made by ASCD, Firehawk and SS are by SLP, all have same intakes and a lid will help you some in this case. If you get a suncoast intake then you also need the suncoast ram air hood with it to work. Just go on suncoast web page, look at their set up, and than go to ASCD or SLP look at their set up and you will notice the difference in hoods and intakes.

 

Thanks, what are the differences in the types of lids though, I see them ranging from $100-$200, is one better than others? Sorry, kinda new to this.
