alright i was driving and the sun visor just fell off when i was driving fell right into my friends lap. anybody else have this problem and how do i get it to stay in? thanks for the help ls1fun99

 

I think GM tried to extend the definition of CHEAP when they built these late model f-bodies. My '98 SS visor fell off just prior to warranty expiration. The Chevy garage I took it to didn't question a thing, just replaced it. They didn't even write it up, just replaced it. It was the passenger side and it was seldom used.....4 or 5 times max.

Good luck getting it replaced, maybe if you catch them in a weak moment they'll just replace it. I'm thinking they have had a lot of experience.

 

dude, same here. but it was my driver side. all i did was go to autozone and get some glue. and i just glued it back up. no problems anymore. just cant move my visor sideways....

 

Nothing a little superglue, nailgun, and band-aids won't fix.

 

They are pretty cheap. My passenger side didn't come off but it came real loose and would swing at the passengers head every time I floored it.

 

I bought my 99 with it missing... now I know why!!

 

Mine on the passenger side fell off and my sister on her 97 firebird fell off. Irrating.

 

yeah they all fall off. they suck well they are like 40 bucks from gm. 10326257 LH sunshade from gmpartsdirect.com

 

Join the club. I can't find a passenger visor w/mirror in good condition anywhere. I was told that the dealer only sells them without mirrors now. :blah:

 

yeah the new one I got had no mirror
