Starting Problems

battery is a week old. (thought that was initial problem so i replaced it) but the car is not wanting to start only 73k miles. the battery gauge isnt too terribly low it ends up like 1-2 needle widths past the redline when i try to start it. i tried pulling the radio fuses and if it is only setting for a few hours then it will start if i do this, but if it is going to sit over night this doesnt even work. but at any time if u jump it off. it will fire right up. any ideas?

Re: Starting Problems

Forget about the voltmeter in the instrument panel, it's useless.

You need to perform a battery draw test - do a Google search.

No. You need to perform a battery draw test. Google it.

Re: Starting Problems

Or you could just rig up a test light with a 12 ohm bulb.
