Removing my Catback System

How would I go about in removing my catback system? From

looking under the car, it looks like its bolt on. Reason I am asking

is because I will probably have a muffler shop do true duals, and

I want to see how it sounds without the catback. Thanks.

Wink

First of all get the rear end in the air a little then look underneath the passenger door and you'll see the tailpipe. Just loosen or take off the brakcet and then you should be able to pull off the tailpipe. Listen to it then put right back on or u could even keep it off. If you like the sound of it get a cutout.

I looked at your nice car @domain cant tell if you got the stock system or not?? We've got the same car, cept mines 99,M6.
If you have stock exhaust I dont know, but you could try to relieve the hangers and slide the whole system back from Y.But I doubt that sound would be the same a true duals???
If you got an aftermarket exhaust shouldnt be that hard to remove the "I"after "Y"it bolts together just before it goes over diff and @"Y". But still I think that sound would be alot louder then True dual??
Prob. little help huh... If you want it take a chance what the hell. It'll prob. sound tough as hell, and flow up the ying yang.

Hey thanks #7, well I just wanted to see how it sounded without the catback, then see how it would sound with true duals, because I am going to meet up with someone with true duals, and yeah, i have the stock Z28 system
