Question red line or royal purple?

For rear differential fluid, transmission fluid, and coolant (if they have it). Which is better, Red Line or Royal Purple? I'm replacing all of them within the next week. Thanks for the help.

I would choose Redline. I've yet to see a performance shop that doesn't use Redline for rearend fluid. For a T56 I use Redline MTL (I really should be using Redline ATF) and it works fine. Redline doesn't make coolant but they make coolant additivies which have been known to drop your temp down as much as 10 degrees.

Wink

I'm running Red Line in my trans & rear, made a difference. I still use Mobil 1 for oil though....

did anyone see the show Horsepower TV, where they changed all the essential fluids in a 2000 SS to Royal Purple and dynoed like 8 more rwhp?

Why redline over that?

I put Red Line in the rear end and the tranny. The tranny runs a little smoother and quieter, same with the rear end. both oils will give same results. The local store just happened to carry Red Line so thats what I got.

well then, unanomous (spelling?) vote for Red Line. Even the all-knowledgable moderator has endorsed it. Well, sounds like I'll give redline a try. Thanks
