Rear Brake Rattle--Please Help
I hear a metal-on-metal rattle coming from the rear of my car and have traced it to a donut shaped metal guard
located on the inside of my rear disks. I hear it going over rough spots on the road....very obnoxious.
Can anyone tell me what this guard is for? I haven't had a brake job yet so i haven't taken it off. I can kick my tires and I hear the noise quite well!
Is this normal on stock disks?
Do aftermarket disks (auto zone, powerslots, etc) have this? Is there a grease or silicone type product that I could use?
I would appreciate any input cause it's driving me insane.
