hey fellas im lookin to buy an 01 formula a4. i wanted to know what gears come with them stock? its not a ws6 its just a bone stock formula with 30,000 miles. and wut type of times do u think i can get at the track in the 1/4 mile if i ran it bone stock? thanks alot.

 

2.73 (GU2) or 3.23 (GU5) - the codes are on the drivers side door.

 

Guess a 13.6@101 sealevel.

 

I'm going to say a 13.5@104 at best.

 

Bone stock mine ran 13.3 @105 and it's an 00. A good running 01 should/could run 13.2-1 @ 106-7 in good air.

It looks like 3.42 was an option on an A4. I have never heard of this, I thought it was only 2.73 or 3.23. Anyone thing that the info is wrong?

I think that was for V6 cars.

 

3.42 came in some of the M6's with option code GU 6

 

Just the V6, went along with the Y87 or W68 package, whichever is the "performance/handling upgrade" for the 3.8L's.
