Re: ls6 heads

With your mods, you'd see some gains. 20hp? That's probably high. Ported LS6 heads, along with a hotter cam, and you could see a lot more.

with a 224/224 type cam, or one in my sig, h/c 90rwhp or better can be achieved. other heads considerations should be afr 205 or 215, prc stage 2.5, 2.5 (5.3l) or stage 3

Re: ls6 heads

off kraests sig? it means that since he is going to have a 470+ rwhp car, when he drives it he is going to take a poo poo in his pants. Since, **** is brown, you will need brown pants so no one can see his accident!

Re: ls6 heads

stock ls6 heads on a stock cam....10-15hp...maybe.

for cams, what kind of power levels are you looking for? with the LS1 you can easily make good power with just a cam swap. how much drivability are you willing to sacrifice?

Re: ls6 heads

Since you can get PRC ported LS6 heads for under $900, why run stock LS6 heads?

Re: ls6 heads

If you have a large cam you'd need larger ports and valves.
Stock or smaller cam smaller valves and ports.
Performance wise? Depends on what you have and what you decide to go with. Go large heads on a stock cam and it'll kill your low RPM and not do a whole lot for you up top either.
