the car is a 99 trans am ws6 a4 with slp intake and a magnaflow cat back, if i were to purchace a ls6 intake and throttle body would i need to upgrade the maf, and would i see a decent increase in hp? is it worth the money buyin a used one?

 

You never need to upgrade the MAF. I've used the stock MAF on all of my cars with phenominal results. I wouldn't even upgrade the TB until you get a real mod like a camshaft.

 

A ported stock throttle body with the LS6 intake is a very worthwhile swap. You'll gain power (maybe 10-15, but it will feel like more) and increase throttle response.

I'd be pretty excited if you got a used LS6 intake, and then ported your existing TB. The MAF never needs to be changed, unless it ****s the bed.
