You need a new crank pulley/damper, and I would get it as soon as possible. What your seeing in the video is the elastomer ring that sandwitches between the inner and outer rings trying to "squirt" out of the gap at low speeds. At higher speeds centrifugal force is pressing the elastomer to the outer hub and the hub is acting as a keeper. It wont just fly apart due to the way it's made (the inner and outer kind of lock together), but it's not doing your bearings any good. If you replace it and the squeal is still there, then take it to a qualified mechanic and have them check everything out.

Bottom line.. Replace that thing. It's toast..

Good luck.

Would you suggest something like this? http://www.ebbsnflows.cz28.com/photo4.html

That is a guide on how to install an ASP U/D Pulley.

Yes on the write-up. No on the underdrive pulley. Not really worth it IMHO. But, opinions are like sphincters - everyones got one..

I would just put back a GM part (not a no name knock off). If you just enjoy spending money though Fluidamper makes awfully nice stuff

I wasn't able to find the GM part online at all, so I just linked to the first type I found readily avaliable. I'd rather go the cheaper route though.

Lots of people seem alarmed by this, but nearly every LS1's pulley does this. If you still have the stock pulley go out and check your car.

Check my car and do what? I'm not really alarmed...but it is freaking annoying.
