I can believe better than the HPP, but am waiting for the first non-beta & non company users to begin reporting. Is it actually easy to use? Can I log the data for later review? How much is the custom tuning costing?

The Predator doesn´t log anything, so the scaning feature is not realy practical for anything other than trouble codes. I can´t imagine why they didn´t include a recording feature.

Cool

Well I have ordered the Predator and it should be coming in the mail soon. Some people have used it already, one guy got 12 rwhp. Another person dropped a tenth of his quarter when he switched from the hpp3 to the predator, so obviously it's working. When I do get mine, I'm going to dyno my car and I'll tell you guys how much hp I gain. I'm hoping at least 15 rwhp, that would be nice.

For the price of that preditor you could almost get LS1 edit. Ifd it was $250 or so it would definitely be worth it for me. But not $430.

Please correct me if I'm wrong, but it seems if you are really serious about tuning your car you would want to get LS1-Edit & Autotap. Autotap to capture the data while running and then allow for reviewing. LS1-Edit for the re-programming.

Diablo allows you to change some things, allows you to buy others from professional tuners and allows you to see some values while it is connected, but no review/correlation of values to see the system interactions.

HPP only allows you to change a few specific things. No data review at all.

So, take your pick based on level of expertise (or risk of damaging your engine), price and performance desired.

JMHO.

Which one is better??? LS1 edit or the Diablosport predator???

I need something that isn't VIN number locked, so I can use it in more then one LS1. (like a vette)

The Predator locks to the VIN number and you can never unlock it and sell it. Even if you restore the stock programming. I'll probably still get one though.

I think LS1-Edit locks to the VIN too. I never researched it much.
