Ok New noise question. Please give sum info.,

I have spent 20 hours of my life in the past 3 days under my car.

Let me start with these facts.

I have no spare tire.
I have checked the springs.
I have checked the cats.
The brackets and bushings are all new as of last night.
If i push the exausht around HARD I cannot duplicate the noise.

However,

I'm driving down a street, with the top down. I hit a bump and from the RIGHT rear BOTTOM of the car it sounds like a rattle. This sounds like a coffee can just hit the cement, u know?

It is most definitly not the trunk as I have already fixed that and driven with my head in the trunk (dad driving) numerous times.

Today I played with the idea that is it the heat shielding or something hitting the heat shielding. If i hit the h.s. hard enuff i can almost reproduce the noise, however no matter which way i bed or it anything i do to it doesn't change the noise.

So what the h3ll is wrong here? any ideas?

It sounds like your noise is louder, but I had a shock go bad that would rattle over bumps.

I had that problem (on my old car) with my heat shielding! they fixed it at a muffler shop for 10 bucks. That thing drove me crazy.
