oil pressure?

Is there anything wrong if the oil pressure gauge jumps around from time to time? Its not a great amount that it does it and ive looked at the oil it looks fine. Usually notice it while its hot and at idle or maybe low rpm. The car only has 64k miles

Re: oil pressure?

Ok good. Figured it would be something like that instead of major. Guess it can be flakey all it wants as long as its not hurting anything. The car gets its first treat of GC tonight when I change the oil. Gonna see how it likes it lol.

Re: oil pressure?

Reach behind the intake and unplug/replug it while you have the hood up for the oil change.

Re: oil pressure?

Just something easy to check to see if the connector is on tight. It's the black vertical sensor behind the intake on the driver's side. Connector is on top.

Re: oil pressure?

You can't see it. Just follow the the coil packs back with your hand on the driverside and feel just behind the head. Tall round sensor with the connector on top.

Re: oil pressure?

I wouldn't attempt to disconnect and reconnect the OEM sensor, especially if you're unfamiliar with it's location. They get VERY brittle with age, and you'll probably end up breaking it.
