oil change light wtf?

theres actually a whole section on GMs oil life monitor in the owners manual that tells you all about it. it basically just monitors driving conditions and such not time or mileage. i was actually just reading it earlier to find out how many quarts of oil to use because i havent done my own oil change on this car yet. i was also wondering if you guys replace the seal on the drain plug when you do your changes? cause some have a metal seal that doesnt need replacing and some have little crappy ones made out of a paper material

6 quarts

The drain plug on your LS1 has an integrated O-ring. Leave it alone.
