O2 simulator question

I just put on my Flowtech LT's and ORY with the O2 simms. Worked great for a week then my SES light came on. Checked under the car and one of my O2 simms aren't working anymore(The LED stopped blinking) My question is, is it ok to drive the car with the O2 simm not working? I live in the UK and it takes 2 weeks to get parts I order to come in. I didn't want to have to wait that long. Thanks in advance!

Re: O2 simulator question

You should be fine for a couple weeks until the new one gets there. The second set of O2 sims are mainly a checkpoint to make sure the catalytic converters are working. I hope who ever sold you the faulty sim is replacing it for free. That seems a little odd it stopped working after only a week.

Re: O2 simulator question

If you can live with the SES light on you can run without rear O2 sensors forever, with no ill effects.

True.......but what if it another problems starts up. Ur fine until u get the new ones in. Like they said, the rear 02's don't do anything besides tell u if the cats are workin properly. If the front 02's are messed up then u got a problem. Shouldn't be anything to worry bout, if u can i say get it deleted out of the computer.

Re: O2 simulator question

What could it mess up. I pulled my cats off , and removed the rear O2s, and ran for a while like that untill I got LS1 Edit. It was all good.
