Need help with control arm location !!!
I just got a gear change and I am using the TA performance rear end cover. The problem is that the control arm is touching it and clanks really load whenever I go over a bump. What can I do to fix this? I dont want it to break on me. Also, how can I remove the stock shifter ****. It wont come off!!!

shifter comes off with 4 bolts.....
A few possibilities here:
Either you have a bunch of mods you don't have listed, you've been in on heck of a car crash or something (I can't figure how) is installed way out of place.
Most likely it's your panhard bar (PHB) that runs from the passenger side of the body to the driver's side of the rear end. This is also called a track bar in NASCAR circles. The 2 control arms are mounted in front of the rear end on each side.
My PHB doesn't come any where close to the rear end. So either you're mistaken about where the noise is coming from or you've got other problems. You might be talking about the rear sway bar. It's pretty close to the rear end cover. If so you might be able to shorten the end links and gain more clearence at the back where the cover is.

To remove the ****, eat a bowl of Wheaties and turn the **** counterclockwise.

When I put the TA cover on my Formula I had to grind notches in the flange of the Panhard bar where it crossed the adjustment bolts. Easy fix! Or you can get an aftermarket Phd bar that's made from tubing.
Yep eat your wheaties or get a friend with a good grip and turn it counterclockwise. It's just on there tight.

OOpsI think it is called the sway bar
It is the thin bar that goes right in front of the rear end cover. It sort of dips doen a little right where the rear end is. I did get the shifter **** off though.

That IS your rear sway bar, I have a TA girdle installed on my vehicle, and just replaced the rear 19MM bar, with a 25MM bar, and still have clearance between that and the girdle, granted it is not much, however it should not be hitting the girdle.

So...What should I do???
Now that I know that it is the sway bar than what should I do? I am not even going to drive it until it is fixed. Should I buy another sway bar? If so, where should I get it and how much is it going to cost? This is killing me because I really want to drive my car!!! I just got 410's in!!

Why I ask, is when I changed the rear sway bar, at first when I put the new bar on, I installed it 180 degrees out, that is the curve in the bar was pointing up, and it WAS touching the cover. I removed the endlinks, and turned the bar 180 again, that is the hole used on the left side end link was now on the right. The curve in the bar was now pointing down, and I had the clearence I needed.
I sincerely hope I am not confusing matters more, I'm sure there was an easier way to express it.
