Most HP heads Cam LS1?
I don't know the exact answer, but at least a few guys over at LS1tech.com have already made between 440-450rwhp with some big heads/hydro roller cam packages on purely stock 346ci bottom-ends. Damn impressive if ya ask me.
Just go over there and ask...

But they could be even higher...
There was a guy up there around where you live that pulled 465 rwhp on a mustang dyno. That would be well into the 500 RWHP rang depending on the calibration compared to a dynojet. He was using the "showroom stock" GM ASA cam and the GMPP CNC LS-6 heads. I talked to scogg and dickey about this, and they said they had many cars in the 485 RWHP range with the same set-up. Cartek made 472 RWHP with a cam half the size of GM's. LG motorsports has made a few 460 ish pulls with there new X series cams also.
No, I dont quite want an LS1 yet, I would rather build up what I have and eventually get a classic with a big block. Although they make good power, they still don't compare to the classics. Thats still impressive none the less. I guess I'll just shoot to break the record for LT1's which is 452.
There is at least one LS1 out there with stock bottom end naturally aspirated heads/cam and all boltons that hit 500 RWHP, but that was a very radical setup, and not very easy to attain.
475 RWHP seems to be the average max for heads/cam right now.
450 RWHP is relatively easy to get on an M6 car if you're willing to sacrifice emissions and daily drivability.
425 RWHP on an M6 is very easy to hit, and on an A4 a little tricky, but still doable.
400 RWHP used to be considered high back in the early LS1 days, but now we're seeing people hit this number on cam only cars with stock heads.
My car put down 405.5 RWHP through an A4 with cats, with a full exhaust. My car also passes emissions and has absolutely no drivability problems. The higher you go, the more sacrifices you have to make.
