Miles on your LS1's....
#46
My '01 T/A rolled 30K over the weekend. I have a beater now, so the miles won't rack up so quickly.
The T/A has been abused, and has worn out 20 sticky tires so far (and nearly another set), and so far has been 100% reliable.

79,383 miles.......
-1 to 1 1/2 quarts every 5,000 oil change.
-3rd owner, about to hit tranny number 3. averaging 1 tranny per owner
-replaced squeaky serpentine belt 7 times, leaky water pump twice
-2nd owner bent the rear axle
-replaced driver side window motor 2 times, needs it again. replaced pass side window motor 1 time, needs it again.
-AC doesn't work 70,000
-clutch pack going out - right now
-3 broken tranny mounts
-battery cracked and leaked acid all over power wires ($200 to replace) - 70,000 miles
-2 broken wheel studs, last week
-a whopping 14 mpg city 19 hwy
-replaced u-joints at 75,000
-leaky differential at 75,000
-3 of the 4 emergency jack points bent out of shape.
All that, and I still love this car. Hoping this is the end of a string of problems - but even if it isn't I still will keep it.

24500 and no oil drinking here. First time I put synthetic in it flashed the low oil light at about 2500 miles. Now when I change the oil I put in 6.5 quarts ( I also use the larger Mobil 1 filter ) ... seems to have no consequence (ie oil pressure doesnt drop over time due to the crank aerating it). I do this because during autocross events more of the oil stays up in the lifter valley and heads... gotta make sure I never starve the pump!

Do you beat on it all the time? thats the longest list of problems I've read in a while on one of these cars...and whats up with that mileage?

actually, I don't beat on it. It was the previous owners that beat the **** out of it. The last owner was reving to 5k in N then dropping it to 2nd to do burnouts - thus new transmission after it failed the same week I got it. I don't know what's up with my gas mileage. I even switched cars with my mom for a week, to see if she could get better mileage out of it. No such luck. She does like to drink a lot (the car that is. )
