Miles on your LS1's....

I just wondered how many miles you guys had on your LS1's and how the motors were holding up. I know they burn a little oil, I read that it was that way for a reason and I also read it was an engineering flaw, that light loads at high rpm the motor tends to blow oil into the intake manifold. I'd like to know a little about the oil burning and how many miles you guys have on your cars and if there's been any problems because of them burning oil.

65,000 and I have yet to notice an oil consumption problem. I have gone through 3,000 mile runs and been less than 1/2 quart low.

39,5xx miles are running great. No oil problems, no mechanical problems, nothing.

And, this is with a year of having a supercharger installed. I'm loving it

50K miles on my 2001 WS6 M6 tranny. Oil consumption was not a big deal until I put the 4.11 gears in the back. After that ... WOW ... it uses some oil. But it also smokes when I get on it, so it may be another problem.

65K miles. ever since new, it's been using 1/2 to 1 quart per 3,000 miles. that was with 5w30. next change, i'm switching to 10w30 to see if that helps.

Cool

Just turned 25,500 last night on woodward. It burns about a quart or so in 3000 miles. and ive had plugs foul in the #1 cylinder from this. i put in the 02 Z06 pcv and pcv mod and everythings fine ever since. id think about doing the pcv mods before it gets bad. Mine started missin real bad before i put it in storage last year. then i fixed it in the summer with about 70 bucks worth of crap. 3rd set of plugs...
