ok, well on my old car(00z28) i had a 3inch cutout from QTP on it... fit fine, no problems.... i THINK it had a flowmaster catback, not sure, previous owner did it....

ok, well im putting the 3inch hooker catback on now... so the question is... if its a 3 inch exhaust... it takes a 3 inch cutout right? may be a dumb question but... i saw them install my old cutout, and it like... slid over the exhaust, then they welded it on... but if the exhaust is 3inch, and the cutout is 3 inch... wouldnt that make it not slide over part of the exhaust? i dunno.. may not even make sense...

Don't worry. If your exhaust is 3", get a 3" cutout. The shop will work their magic, and it will be a correct fit.

thats what i figured... i already bought it(already had the electric part of the cutout) was just posting out of curiousness....

They put my cutout on a machine and expanded it a little before welding.
