Leave it in. Removing the screen will alter the fueling and unless you have access to tuning software, you'll be asking for more trouble than good. It'll lean out the AFR across the board, which will cause the PCM to add fuel at part throttle through the fuel trims. But, the PCM can't see what's going on with the AFR at more aggressive throttle positions (ie. WOT). It will most likely transfer any added fuel to WOT on the assumption that it's lean. But then again, it may not. Leave the screen.
