Anyway, that's the route I'd go if I was going to do any type of LSx buildup for cheap. Hell, there's even a stock-cube forged build for less than $3000. It would probably work well if I ever decided to change my blower pulley

Re: LS7 in an f-body
just think of this. A low compression aluminum 402 from slp. decent heads, medium cam, and a P1s-c from procharger with a #5. You'd probably get 600-650 rwhp and porbably even get decent gas milage and turn a mid 10's - 11 on pump gas.

Or did you mean $1000 to build the T56 you already have?

Yea,
http://www.ls1speed.com/catagory.cfm...y=Transmission
If that doesnt work, go here:
http://www.ls1speed.com
Then check on camaro and your year. then transmissions. then go down to the first finish line t-56. (part # T56-STREET)
hope that helps.

That's close to what I have, but I have much less.
I have a plain jane stock-internal 346ci LS1 with a tiny cam, cleaned-up heads, LS6 intake manifold, bolt-ons, exhaust, and a P1SC with 5# and made 514rwhp through the POS 4L60E.
I get 20/27 mpg with 3.73s and an auto.

Without a doubt. Especially with more cubes and a bigger cam. Most boost would be even more crazy. There's no reason that 402 LS2 couldn't go 700+rwhp on the P1SC with ease when pullied down.

I've been dancing around the idea of the SpeedInc 383 Stroker Sprtsman, w/ an ATI blower. 600 hp easy. -But it's only a short block. WHat's cam and heads of my chioce, tho... SoO many options.
THat's when I noticed the 6.0L punch and stroke to a 427. THe displacement this is what gets me going. Can't help but wonder. Pluss as we all know, you can't leave well enough alone.
But, then there's the LS2. If I already had the motor, the rotating assy and labor for the 427 work isn't too bad. It'd be worth the $$$$... Pluss you get a rotating assy out of it anyway due to larger displacement requirement. ...but there is an obvious differance between the LS2 and the 383sm.
