Re: LS6 intake

LOL I do emissions testing too, !EGR doens't effect emissions enough to fail me. I'm always way under the standard. Unless your emissions are anything like california's, it won't be a problem.

LOL. I am in California, soooooooo................

In Ca you must pass a visual. So anything that is not STOCK configuration will fail, even if it will pass te sniffer. trust me been there. I've had to go to a smog "referee" with the corvette and it is a royal pita.

Re: LS6 intake

It is really a pain in da azz. Even if the car passes the sniffer it can be failed for the visual............sounds rediculas dont it? On an older car it can fail if the friggin timing is off more than 3 degrees........even if it passes the tailpipe.
I dont mind working the grey areas a bit, but I dont want to have to rebuild the whole damn car everytime I have to smog it. That what I had to do with the vette and it really sucked.....................

Re: LS6 intake

I honestly didnt care about passing the emissions, I just didnt want to go through the hassle with deleting the egr, codes or getting a tune. So I said "F**k it" and I got the idea to do what I did. Took my all of 2-3 hours to mod the intake and install it. I was cruising by that afternoon and have not had any reason to touch it again since. Listen GPZ28, I dont have any pics but I will help you the best I can if you choose to do what I did....best of luck.
