Edelbrock exhaust vs Flowmaster

I tried to do a search on this, but the search button times out. I am looking for an exhaust for my 2000 Z28. I dont want to spend alot of money though. I was wondering if the Edelbrock exhaust summit has for sale is any good? Does anyone know? How it compares to flowmaster. Thanks

flowmaster sounds good to most people, a very familiar musclecar sound. but most will tell you they flow the worst of the common catbacks.

i can't imagine the Edelbrock is much better.

have you checked out the Loudmouth or LM 2? how bout the TSP rumbler?

probably most will tell you if noise around town is a concern look into a Hooker system. inexpensive and supposedly a very nice sound.

or just install a cutout

Re: Edelbrock exhaust vs Flowmaster

I have an edelbrock catback on my 383. it has a very cool sound, deep, rumbly, but not obnoxious like the loudmouth. my advice to you is to hear a loudmouth before ever buying it. lots of people (incl. me ) think its just too over the top and get sick of it quick. as far as HP increase goes, dont know there wil be much diff. if your car is pretty stock. Ive also heard good things about the hooker kit.
