okay, here we go again... do the FRA, I have it done on my 00 T/A and all my friends have it done on their LS1's. It will make a difference, from 40 and above there is a big difference. if you want you can seal the front portion of the lower box. If you are worried about hydrolocking the motor, dont drive through deep puddles. I live in Florida, and it can rain for 3 seconds and we have an inch of rain... I have never had a problem... but dont go 30mph through standing water either.

Well , i have yet to do any free mods , I took the filter out and it was black , there was leafy things and a small stem in the MAF sensor screen . Im almost afraid to descreen it now seeing what it caught ! I had to rinse out the induction below the filter " it was clogged up a lil " w/a hose . Put in a K&N charged filter and im thinking of running it saturday before i do free mods ....Its hauling major arsh

I have done all the free mods and my advicce to you is don't waste your time. Save up some money and get headers and CAI. Something that really counts. The FRA mod sucks. Like everyone said you have to change your filter constantly. Especially if you live in TExas.

Re: Ls1 Free Mods ?
I've used K&N filter for awhile with the cut out and I definitely get a better throttle response, but - the amount of gunk that accumulated on the walls of the throttle body scare me. God only knows what the inside of the intake manifold looks like! What's the best way to clean this? I took the TB off and cleaned it but how do I clean the inside of the manifold and everything else filthy?
