LS1 dos & don't article ?

in the super chevy article they recommended NOT removing the torque reducer if you do a tune. they claim you'll gain a tenth but burn up the bans. that was one of the main reasons i wanted a tune. any opinions? also are the bans in the auto transmission that they are reffering to? thanks.

Well I ran all last year with the TM removed. But I have a 3800 rpm stall and a TransGo kit in there too.
1000 miles, a couple of trips to work and back the rest at the 1/4 mile track. Way over 100 passes deep in the 12s at over 110 mph.
I just pulled the tranny pan for this years' service and it was almost completely clean. Aint nothin slippin.
