look that power, and it was actually a 4.8!!! not even a 5.3. find yourself a cheap iron 6.0 truck block, single turbo, run like 7-14psi and make unreal power and get good gas mileage!!! you can prob do all this for less then $3k too

My understanding is the guys pushing stock shortblock stuff hard with boost actually prefer the 5.3l.

Yes because of the thicker walls I believe can't remember exactly why. We are getting ready to turbo my friends LQ4 T/A and it will probably only see around 10psi max until the bottom end is beefed up.

I thought it was the pistons, the 5.3L pistons are built the same as the 6.0l pistons but being smaller they are harder to crack????????????????????

Smaller bore, same casting so the cylinder walls are thicker
