my camaro is a daily driver and iam curious who uses their Ls1 as their daily drivers and what types of alarm system u have on them? what after market systems u guys have?

 

I drive my ls1 a whole 7 miles a day on average...thats to work and back. didnt change my alarm system any...just the stock system.

 

Well my Z28 is my daily driver and I enjoy every minuet I do drive it... Plus with Stock Alarm in it as well...

 

stock alarm daily driven for now soon it will be under a cover if you want a bad *** alarm get a high end alpine with a pager.

 

I drive mine every day too. Stock alarm system.

 

My Z is my daily car-with insurance being so high, I couldn't imagine having a beater too. I have the stock alarm system. This car will eventually be just a weekend car and maybe just a drag car once the engine goes out.

 

my z28 is my daily driver don't drive much though to school and bak then to work then around town onthe weekends yes i still have the stock alarm though if i can i am going to change it bcause my z is comin to college with me n i don't want anything to happen because i already pay enough insurance in Nj

I use my SS every day for every trip - wouldn't want to have it any other way. I imported it new nearly 2 years ago and have used it every day since (30,000 miles). Standard alarm but with a GPS tracker device fitted (well I wouldn't want to lose it).

My SS is my daily. But I only have to drive about 10 miles a day on average for work. The alarm is the one that came stock with it.

 

Oh yeah, she's my daily driver. Since it bought it last summer, I've already put on over 26,000 kms (~16,000 miles), so I'm averaging close to 3000 kms / month. I need the car for work and back, which is about ~45 miles round trip, plus any running around on weekends and such, and I've been on a few road trips with it too.

Also, still the factory alarm.

I love my car!!!

 

Mine's my daily driver too. I have the stock alarm system and put around 350 miles/week on it.

On a side note, what sorts of things will set the alarm off?

One time I was washing it and I let the wiper drop on the windshield too fast and it set the alarm off.

 

I drive about 300+ miles a week from college and back, and trips on weekends. Soon it will only see 6 months out of the year with a Jeep this winter, stock alarm.

Daily Driver here ... 35 miles round trip to work and back.

Stock alarm, but since I work for the Fire Department and am right next door to a bunch of cops, I feel pretty secure.

 

Hey hotrodgirl... I learned something the other day that might help you. Having two cars on my insurance policy made my rate go down... A LOT. Multi-car discount. Made a HUGE difference too.

As far as daily driving. I have daily-driven my LS1 for 2 days now. Since I bought it two nights ago. :P

My Z is my only car. I drive it everywhere! about 40 miles to worka and back everyday. 40K miles in 2 years. That includes New England winters.

As far as alarm, I just have the stock alarm and a Lo Jack.
