I think you are required to put premium grade fuel, 91+. I run 93 octane.

 

Not require, recommend.

In the owners manual it says that GM recommends the use of 91+ for best performance.
You can use lesser octane fuels but it most likely will not make as much power because as knock is detected by the PCM timing is pulled.

I use 93 octane only.
