Great, now I feel like an ***. Oh well, the dealership SA was a jerk off anyway. Thanks though. Anyway, the main point of this is that I had (still have) a sound from the passenger cat that sounds exactly like it's bad. The dealer mechanic said the driver's side is bad ( which I couldn't hear at all having a problem, but maybe it wasn't bad enough to.) but the noise I heard was the compression ring around the pre cat o2. ( BTW, the SA told me it was the post cat o2 before, and the sound isn't anywhere near it, its coming from up where the cat is). If you all have seen the ring in question, than you will know what I mean when I say that there is no way it can be making that kind of a racket. The noise is really amplified when I open my cutout so thats how I know it's coming from inside the pipe. I pulled the o2 to check it out and re tighten it but it only reinforced my belief that it's the cat. So, knwo I have to go to a differant dealer and start over.

I agree with these guys as far as I know gm's firing order in v8's has always been the same. Every manufactor has there own, but I can vouch for the LT1 (b/c I have one) driver's side=bank 1.
