Hey LYTMPU,

You have a different problem. Sticking valve or bent pushrod or valve lash out of adjustment.

Our's are noisy when cold the quiet down...opposite of you man.

Re: How To Quite Down My Noise 2002 LS1

High Tech recently had an article about their LSx based work truck. They had a lot of lifter noise so they sent out an order to some company, forgot what it was maybe amsoil , that custom blends oil based on what the orderer's specs/preoblems are. They ran it for a month and said that the noise went completely away. I'll look later and try to find out the name of that company. I should probaly do it too. Every oil change for me is Royal Purple 15-40 with a can of that Restore stuff, and mine's still fairly noisy.

BTW: It's been posted on here before that the Lucas additive is not good for our cars.

i run mobil 1 syn 10/30. never had slap. mine sounds great. dunno... has 76k on it too. My lack of racket may be because mine has a bit more clearence in the rotating than ur guy's low milage cars.. i dont get any undesired sounds while revving either, still makes those ricers stare straight to the next stop light and cry.

Hey Ghost,
I just pm'd you on the subs...well you are one of many lucky people, if you never had it you probably wont' have it. Many of our's are from when new or soon after even with mild breakin.
