Best book for LS1/LS6 rebuild info

I want the info on stock rebuild info, factory manuals are good but pricey, my local bookstores only have hop up type stuff....any online sources(I have searched Google) I want clearances, torque info, do's and dont's etc as this will be MY first build..I am an info freak. Gotta have it.

Thanks Guys

i've had good luck searching for used factory service manuals on ebay.

i paid $33 for a 1984 camaro service manual, and $20 for a 1982 camaro service manual.

Please post on the correct forum. You would be much more likely to get a response on the LSx forum..... not here on Advanced Tech.

Moving to "LSx...... Engine Tech".

Chevy LS1/LS6 Performance by Christopher P. Endres. It's says high performance modifications for street and racing on the cover, but it still covers stock. It also has the stock engine measurements, clearances, and torque specs in the back. It's a white book with a LS1 drawn on the cover and it sells for $18.95.
